Why ThinkHuman Egypt should produce thinking worth paying attention to, and five social ideas only Cairo could make.
The route · خط السير
Ten stops, about twelve minutes. Press I at any time for the index.
01 · The honest part Research
Every Egypt post on @thinkhuman.mena this year. Four posts, written in English, mostly about us.
“Today marks a major milestone as we expand our operations to a full-scale, functional office in Cairo.”
“Cairo is calling, and we need people who answer.”
“The hardest comedy crowd in the region… Pass here and you pass everywhere.”
“Perry joins the Cairo team as our new content creator.”
Two of four reach for pyramids and camels. That's the tourist's Egypt, not the one Egyptians live in.
The sharpest thinking got the smallest response: 6.
The best performer is a person.
Numbers = likes + comments, public Instagram data captured 14 Oct 2026 and re-checked 15 Oct. A fifth post, “We built Dubai. Then Cairo called.” (45), is the team photo and isn't shown here.

Estimated advertising reach in Egypt, late 2025. Instagram is where ThinkHuman Egypt posts. Most of the country is somewhere else.
WhatsApp isn't on this chart. Nobody can measure it, and it's where Egypt actually forwards things.

02 · The field Hypothesis
Nobody explains it, out loud, and shows the working. That corner is empty.
Hover a dot to read why it sits there.
03 · The insight Observation
It lives in the family group at 7 a.m., in four-minute voice notes, at the ahwa where one screen gathers a street, at the kiosk that knows your brand before you ask, and in the comments that subtitle every ad.

Position
We find the human truth Egypt hides in plain sight, and we show our working.

AI stance
AI drafts. We think human.
الآلة بتقترح. البني آدم بيقرّر.
Two cities in our own words
“We built Dubai. Then Cairo called.”
“Two cities. One direction.”
Cairo becomes the Arabic and cultural intelligence of the whole agency: the team Dubai calls when a brief needs to land with Egyptians.
04 · The role Proposal
Every piece we publish shows the decision a person made: what we noticed, what we crossed out, and why. It costs nothing, it's impossible to fake, and none of our competitors does it.

بريف المترين
Every month, the Cairo team takes a real brief from one of Egypt's smallest businesses, the kiosk, the foul cart, the grocer, and gives it the full agency treatment, in public.
Idea 01 · The Two-Square-Metre Brief
The insight Observation
Every kiosk already runs a brand on instinct: a hand-painted name, credit for regulars, the exact cigarettes you smoke before you ask. Zero budget, total clarity about the competitor next door.
The scale Research
89% of Egypt's business establishments employ fewer than five people. CAPMAS establishment census 2017, via OECD.
What it does for us Proposal
Gives ThinkHuman Egypt what it lacks most: Egyptian case studies, made in Egypt, shown step by step. It proves the method on the hardest canvas and puts the team on camera doing real work. It earns Egypt's respect, not its laughter.
Idea 01 · See it Proposal
The brief, as given
عايز الناس تقف عندي،
مش عند اللي جنبي.
“I want people to stop at mine, not the one next door.”
The brief, rewritten by the Cairo team
this is the job, at 1:1000 scale
What episode 01 could leave behind
Concept sign. Each owner approves their own.
Idea 01 · How it runs Proposal
Execution
A three-part Reel series (The Brief · The Truth · The Reveal), a carousel case in our format (challenge, human truth, idea, result), a LinkedIn write-up and a real artefact on the street: a sign, a jingle, a menu, a uniform. Each episode is led by a different team member.
Experience
Egyptians watch a neighbour get treated like a multinational. They see the before and after on their own street, and they nominate the next business in the comments.
Why it stands apart
It isn't a charity, a prank or a sketch. The owner is a client with approval rights, and results are reported with a period and a source. Peace Cake makes Egypt laugh; this makes Egypt's work better.
What it could build
A growing library of Egyptian case studies, stories trade press can't produce themselves, a magnet for Cairo talent, and a line every client understands: “If they'll do this for two square metres…”
Idea test
Production: 3 to 4 team days a month, plus a small materials budget.
Idea 02 · Platform Proposal
مين فيهم البني آدم؟
Every week, Egypt gets two lines: one written by a machine, one by the Cairo team. Egypt votes which is human. The results become the region's running score of what AI still can't do.
Drag the line across her face.
Idea 02 · Spot the Human
The insight Observation
Egypt grades every punchline. A line can be grammatically perfect and still sound like nobody's uncle ever said it.
The evidence Research
A 2025 benchmark of dialect and culture in large language models (AraDiCE, COLING 2025) found models still trail Modern Standard Arabic on dialects like Egyptian, and that they understand dialect better than they generate it. Writing is exactly the gap.
What it does for us Proposal
Turns “AI drafts. We think human.” from a claim into public evidence, with the audience as the jury. Competitors show how they use AI. We'd show where it fails, and say so honestly the week it wins.
Idea 02 · Play a round Proposal
Round 1 / 3Score 0
Demo rounds written for this proposal: the human lines are everyday Egyptian expressions, the machine lines are literal renderings in the style of AI output. In the live series the machine's lines come from current AI models and the human ones from the Cairo team.
Idea 02 · How it runs Proposal
Execution
A Story poll every Tuesday, the reveal Reel on Friday with the working layer explaining the tell. Categories rotate: jokes, football banter, condolences, mum's texts, wedding invites, ad lines. A street edition for TikTok, fronted from Cairo.
Experience
You play, you're proud when you spot it, you're rattled when you don't, and you send it to the friend who thinks they're smarter.
What it could build
Our own data, which press and clients can quote. Participation in place of passive likes. A reason for CMOs to ask our copywriters before trusting a machine with Egyptian copy.

How often Egypt spotted the machine
Published every quarter, even when the machine wins.
Idea test
Production: half a copywriter-day a week, plus one reveal edit.
Idea 03 · Platform Proposal
صباح الفل
Egypt's most forwarded image has never had a designer. The Cairo team becomes the design studio of the family group: a weekly good-morning card worth forwarding.
Idea 03 · Sabah El Ful
The insight Observation
A generation that rarely says “I love you” out loud says it at 7 a.m. with glittery roses. Their children mute the group, screenshot it and laugh.
The evidence Research
The genre is big enough to break phones: in India, Google traced storage overload to “good morning” images and saw searches for them grow tenfold in five years (Wall Street Journal, Jan 2018). Arabic app stores carry whole apps of them. For Egypt this is our observation, to be measured.
What it does for us Proposal
Proves design craft and cultural empathy in the one place no agency designs for. It reaches parents, aunts and uncles: often the people who decide in Egyptian family businesses. And it gives Cairo's designers a signature body of work.
Idea 03 · See it Proposal
Not a parody of the genre. A gift to it. Each card is signed by the Cairo designer who made it.
The genre today
Idea 03 · Working prototype Proposal
Execution A Friday-morning drop on a WhatsApp Channel and Instagram, seasonal editions (exams, heatwaves, Mother's Day on 21 March), and this card maker on the web.
Why it stands apart Agencies design for brand feeds. Nobody designs for the family group.
What it could build Reach no feed metric shows, measured by cards made and channel follows; an emotional press story; a property clients could sponsor.
Idea test
Production: one designer-day a week.
Idea 04 · Engine Proposal
الجروب
We open the Cairo team's ideas group to the public. Every week, one real thread shows a human observation becoming an idea: voice notes, sketches, arguments and all.
The insight Observation
In Egypt, every real decision happens in a group chat. Agencies show finished work, never the thinking. And our own two best posts this year were people talking.
Idea 04 · See it Proposal
Execution
A weekly carousel or Reel that recreates a real thread (with everyone's consent), voice notes as audiograms. Once a month the public drops an observation in, and the team builds on it, credited.
What it does for us
Makes how the Egypt team thinks visible, discipline by discipline. Cheap, weekly, Arabic by default, people first. The engine that keeps the account alive between big ideas.
Idea test
Production: two hours a week plus a motion pass.
Illustrative thread written for this proposal; roles only, no real names.
«التركيبة الجديدة المُحسّنة»
Idea 05 · Engine Proposal
مترجم
We subtitle the ad clichés Egyptians scroll past with what Egyptians actually hear, then show the line that would survive.
The insight Observation
Egyptians decode marketing faster than marketers encode it. In Egypt, every brand gets subtitled in the comments within the hour.
Idea 05 · See it Proposal
Execution
A fortnightly Reel: an invented category cliché (never a real brand) with two subtitle tracks, then a Cairo copywriter rewrites it on screen. A carousel dictionary of “Brand Egyptian”. On LinkedIn, the offer behind it.
The business behind it
Forty-eight hours before a campaign goes live in Egypt, the Cairo team and a panel of real Egyptians subtitle it, and send back the lines that won't survive.
Idea test
Production: one copywriter-day per fortnight.
Generic category clichés written for this proposal. No real brands.
08 · The people Proposal
No anonymous content. Every post carries the name of the person who made the decision in it. The team stops being the people behind the work and becomes the work.
09 · The plan Hypothesis
Pick a goal to see which ideas carry it.
Our judgement, to be tested against results after 90 days. ● strong · ◐ some · ○ none.
09 · The plan Proposal
Where you watch ThinkHuman Egypt think. Spot the Human, The Group Chat, episodes, Subtitled.
Cases, the Human Score, the Subtitle Test. 15.0M members in Egypt, up 25% in a year. Research
Sabah El Ful cards and a channel for The Group Chat. Where Egypt actually forwards.
TikTok
Spot the Human's street edition, fronted from Cairo. Our account has been silent since 7 Apr 2026; TikTok reaches 48.8M adults in Egypt. Research
The street
The Two-Square-Metre Brief is shot on location, one corner of Cairo at a time.
09 · The plan Proposal
Highest strategic value: it turns the method into Egyptian case studies, made in public. Scout now, episode one in December.
Cheapest and fastest, and it claims the AI conversation in Egyptian Arabic before anyone else does.
Build in January, soft-launch in February, go big for Mother's Day on 21 March 2027.
The weekly engine that keeps people at the centre between big ideas.
LinkedIn-led from month two; The Subtitle Test becomes a pitch tool.
